# MBAC Skill 07: Follow-Up

| | |
|---|---|
| **Version** | v1.0 (2026-07-27) |
| **Workflow** | A + B (the seam between them) |
| **Lead indicator it moves** | Follow-up cadence adherence (% of clients with a scheduled next touch) |
| **Process owner** | Danielle Thompson (owns 30/60/90) |
| **Built from (Anthropic plugin)** | `marketing:email-sequence` |
| **Customized by** | MBAC Context Document + this file |

## Trigger

A counseling summary is logged (Skill 06), OR a 30/60/90-day check-in comes due on any active client.

## Inputs / Context needed

- The client record: last session summary, action items, what MBAC owes them
- The MBAC Context Document

## Steps

1. Paste the MBAC Context Document, this file, and the client's latest summary into Claude.
2. Ask for the follow-up draft:
   - Reference what was actually discussed (their goal, their words)
   - Deliver anything MBAC owed them (link, document, introduction)
   - Remind them of their own next step, encouragingly
   - Confirm or propose the next touch date
3. For 30/60/90 check-ins with nothing owed: a short "how did X go" note tied to their last action item. Specific beats long.
4. Review, personalize, send from the counselor's email.
5. Log the touch and schedule the next one. The chain never breaks: every client always has a next touch on the calendar.

## Human checkpoint (Zone 2)

Counselor reads before sending. If the draft references something the client did not say, fix the record, not just the email.

## Safety & disclosure

AI-drafted, human-sent. Follow-ups carry client specifics: never include another client's information, and never include PII beyond what this client already shared with us.

## Output & where it lands

Sent from the counselor's email; touch + next scheduled touch logged to the connected store. Zero clients without a scheduled next touch is the headline number.

## Customization moves (Adopt, Customize, Rename)

1. **Adopt:** Anthropic `marketing:email-sequence` plugin skill.
2. **Customize:** MBAC's 30/60/90 cadence, the two-way action-item format, the never-a-dead-end rule.
3. **Rename & anchor:** "MBAC Follow-Up," anchored to cadence adherence.
