Human-First Framework for Mission-Driven Orgs
AI drafts. Humans publish.
The liability lens
AI does not sign your grant report, your donor letter, or your board memo. You do. Your organization is liable for every word, not the model. That single fact sets the posture for this whole track: AI drafts, humans publish.
Treat AI like a fast, tireless intern with no judgment and no stake in your mission. It produces the first pass at speed. You bring the context, the conscience, and the final read.
Three rules to live by
- AI drafts, humans publish. Every output gets a human read before it leaves the org.
- Never paste real client or donor identifying information. Use category labels: "Client A," "a family in 45227," "a major donor." This is a privacy and data-protection line that holds for every module and tool here.
- Every claim needs a source. AI sounds confident even when it is guessing. If a number or name is not yours, do not let it through.
When the first answer is fine but not great
You will not nail it on the first prompt, and you are not supposed to. When a draft comes back flat, do not start over. Revisit what you under-specified, separate what should stay AI-generated from what you must author yourself, try again with real language, and add a constraint that fixes the gap. That loop, not a magic phrase, is where good work comes from. The next module gives it a name and a structure.
