Module 3 For Nonprofits beginner 30 min
Build Your Org Context Document
Once. Reuse forever.
Why a context document
Every cold chat starts the same way: you re-explain your mission, your programs, your funders, your voice. That is wasted time, and the draft still comes back generic. A context document is the fix, a single page you paste at the top of every AI conversation so the model shows up already knowing your organization.
Build it once. Reuse it forever. It doubles as an onboarding doc for new staff.
What goes in it
- Role and org. Your role, the org name, location, team size.
- Mission and programs. A one-sentence mission with no jargon, plus bulleted programs.
- Funders and revenue. Where the money comes from, and your top three funders and what each cares about.
- Who you serve. Specific, not "underserved." How people come to you.
- Pain points. Your bleed-out list from Module 1.
- Voice and audiences. Who you talk to regularly and the tone for each.
- AI goals. Three to five specific things you want AI to help with.
- Quality standards. What great looks like, phrases to never use, and your privacy rules.
Build yours in the Org Context Document tool, then keep it handy for every exercise in this track.
